- Drivers: name, email, mobile, suburb, profile photo, driving licence documents, and payout details.
How we use your information
- Account creation and management.
- Matching customers with nearby drivers.
- Processing payments via Stripe.
- Sending booking confirmations, receipts, and operational notifications.
- Driver identity and licence verification.
Legal bases and collection notice
- We primarily process personal information because it is necessary to provide the HandyDriver service you request.
- We also process information to meet legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and keep the platform secure.
- Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time, although this may limit parts of the service.
- If you choose not to provide mandatory booking, identity, or payment information, we may be unable to create or fulfil your account or booking.
Data retention and deletion
- Driver licence documents are deleted after verification.
- Verification and reset tokens are time-limited and routinely cleaned up after expiry or use.
- Customers and drivers may request deletion of their account data, subject to legal, tax, fraud-prevention, and dispute-retention requirements.
- Booking, invoice, payout, and support records may be retained for operational and legal record-keeping periods.
Data security and sharing
- Data is stored in Microsoft Azure data centres in Australia East.
- Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
- Third parties include Stripe, Microsoft Graph, and Google Maps/Places services.
- Some service providers may process or store information outside Australia. Where this happens, HandyDriver relies on provider contractual and technical safeguards.
- HandyDriver does not sell personal data.
Your rights
- You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.
- You may also request restriction, objection, or portability support where applicable to your jurisdiction and the way the service is used.
- Australian users may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if they are dissatisfied with our response.
- If GDPR applies to your use of HandyDriver, you may also raise a complaint with your local EU/EEA supervisory authority.
