  • Drivers: name, email, mobile, suburb, profile photo, driving licence documents, and payout details.

How we use your information

  • Account creation and management.
  • Matching customers with nearby drivers.
  • Processing payments via Stripe.
  • Sending booking confirmations, receipts, and operational notifications.
  • Driver identity and licence verification.

Legal bases and collection notice

  • We primarily process personal information because it is necessary to provide the HandyDriver service you request.
  • We also process information to meet legal obligations, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and keep the platform secure.
  • Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time, although this may limit parts of the service.
  • If you choose not to provide mandatory booking, identity, or payment information, we may be unable to create or fulfil your account or booking.

Data retention and deletion

  • Driver licence documents are deleted after verification.
  • Verification and reset tokens are time-limited and routinely cleaned up after expiry or use.
  • Customers and drivers may request deletion of their account data, subject to legal, tax, fraud-prevention, and dispute-retention requirements.
  • Booking, invoice, payout, and support records may be retained for operational and legal record-keeping periods.

Data security and sharing

  • Data is stored in Microsoft Azure data centres in Australia East.
  • Data is encrypted at rest and in transit.
  • Third parties include Stripe, Microsoft Graph, and Google Maps/Places services.
  • Some service providers may process or store information outside Australia. Where this happens, HandyDriver relies on provider contractual and technical safeguards.
  • HandyDriver does not sell personal data.

Your rights

  • You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data.
  • You may also request restriction, objection, or portability support where applicable to your jurisdiction and the way the service is used.
  • Australian users may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if they are dissatisfied with our response.
  • If GDPR applies to your use of HandyDriver, you may also raise a complaint with your local EU/EEA supervisory authority.
